My PII 450Mhz has just arrived and now I'm getting a full 36fps with all detail
on, nearly all the time, (up from 12fps!! on my P1 200Mhz).
GPL is a whole new game, much more control, better visibility, full immersion.
Now all I need is 2 weeks off work, my wife to go to the mother-in-law, and
take-out food.........

Ditto! For a week and a half, I've had an upgraded computer (C300A
over P133) and I've had a tease of GPL, but my Reactor V1000 card was
holding up the works. Offline I could race in 640x480, but online I
just installed a Hercules Thriller/8/AGP and now I can run at 800x600
300). Of course, I was kinda slow the first few laps on each track,
watching the scenery go by. :)
