GTR 2002...better late than never...

You can have and say whatever opinion you want, whether it's popular or not,
but you can't really expect to get away with just saying "it sucks" or "it
rules", you have to say "I think it sucks because..." ;-)

Some sims really do suck, but in the case of F12002/GTR I don't think it
does, and as you've seen many others think it's great too. As Dave pointed
out though, it has it's failings, and I believe the jury is still out on the
sound distortion. I think it adds something to the experience, and while
it's not the sound you might hear if you were sat in the real car, to my
ears it sounds close to what the mic on the in-car cameras pick up, which is
as close as most of us will ever come to hearing a race spec Diablo or 360
at full chat.

Don't sulk just because other people disagree, everyone has different
tastes. But you have to back up your opinions with some justification,
particularly if you are commenting on such a popular sim as the GTR mod ;-)

Actually no, I don't.  I gave a few generalizations why I have not been
impressed with this mod in another part of this thread but I feel no
compulsion to justify my remarks or opinions.  Sulk?  How in the world did
you get that?

FWIW I think it was the way in which they were made, rather than the
comments themselves that struck a nerve.

Ken, your right,  You surely do have your right to express any opinion that you
want.  It was just that your original post said,

 >>One of the most overhyped and overrated games I've ever played>>

Since the thread that I started was about the highlights of the sim as I found
them, when you write what you did, without any comments on why, it will almost
always come off as a troll.  Without context, it will look as though your just
trying to get peoples emotions on the rise.

Surely no one can tell you to write more, as this your choice, but if we react
to the reply as a troll, please afford us the same right to OUR opinion.

Thanks, Mike

Go away with your silly logic. ;)
