Hi all,

How do you take the steering unit of this wheel completely apart? The
desk clamps seem to prevent it. I need good access to the inside to
reconnect a loose wire... anyone got any tips?

Just looked at my Nascar Pro wheel and the desk clamps twirl right out. They
*are* really qiute long and it does seem to take forever but they did come
out. I was careful towards the end as those plastic threads seem a little
delicate. For the rest of it just remove all those bright Philips headed
screws.Make sure that the cat doesn't start playing with them and you may
even have enough to reassemble it!

good luck
David

You ahve to remove the clamps. Use an awl or allen wrench toi push the
pivot pins out from the upper "levers" then the clamps drop right out
of the unit.

or you could just unscrew the clamps from the bottom...then take out the 18 screws you
find underneath the unit, then you have full access to the insides.
