NASCAR 4 - The first 100 hours!!

Well it's about 4 days since I took delivery of it after spontaneously
ordering it after the P4 patch came out for GPL.  Quite honestly I wasn't
expecting much joy on my PII 350!

I have been very surprised in how well NASCAR 4 runs on my rig.  Frame rates
vary between 15 and 40fps but more importantly it remains very drivable at
the lower rates and I'm suspicious that may not be a correct frame rate
reading.  It is much more drivable than GPL was at 15fps!!  I have dropped
graphic detail but it still looks better than most other sims out there.
Whatever, I am racing 20 AI and having tremendous fun.  It will of course be
better when I can afford a faster puter but at the moment my lowly system
isn't handicapping my enjoyment.

Isn't it cool how the smoke hangs in the air after you lock your brakes?  I
also like it when you stop incorrectly in the pits and your pit crew are
unable to change the tyres on one side.

I hope we will be able to convert GPL tracks to N4 before too long:)

Chris
