I have a stb velo. 3d card...which card should I get as an add on..the
voodoo or rendition type....is it possible that one day soon company's
like my fav. Sierra/Papyrus will support both or more with next
releases  Also if I have rendition and my modem partner doesn't are we
capatable...did I spell that right...... Thanks......Gashuffer......

Only the Voodoo cards are add-ons.  Actually only the older Voodoos are, as
the newer ones are using the Rush chipset and are 2D/3D combo boards like
the Rendition cards.  The trend of game developers will soon be to support
Direct3D, OpenGL, or some other non card specific API rather than native
ports.  You shouldn't have any problems modem racing.

The Rendition cards are 2D/3D card which would replace your current vidEo
card.  The 3dfx cards are 3D only and would complement your current one.
There are no 3D versions of ICR2 and N2 for the 3dfx cards.  The ICR2
Rendition version does crash sometimes when there is a big wreck during a
multiplayer race.
