Help fixing springs on the T-1

by Scott M. Gooli » Mon, 06 Feb 1995 16:50:33

The spring broke on the gas pedal of my Thrustmaster T-1 today during an
intense Nascar competition at Michigan.  I have heard about Thrustmaster
sending out replacement springs, but the bottom of my pedals are held
together with rivits.  How do I go about fixing this?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott Goolik

Drill them out and replace them with self-tapping screws. My springs haven't
arrived yet, after ordering them more than a week ago.

You will need to drill out the rivits.  Thrustmaster will send a set of
screws that you will use to put the base back together.

Have you put a "backstop" behind the pedals to limit "full travel"?  So
far this step has saved my springs from going out.
