Oh dear, your time is slooowwww.

I think you need to practice a bit more and download a proper setup.
I regularly run in 1:24.1xx, not fast by internet standards but achieved
with a joystick and steering help - which makes me slower.

In my 1st half hour a practice with my new GP1 I managed to get 1.26.2xx.

Look at http://infoweb.magi.com/~ericcote for setups that may help you.

Actually, the players car is always the same performance no matter what
team you choose to drive. Am I right, guys? <I know it can be altered

But te breakdown factor is there. The Larousse WILL breakdown much more
often than a Williams.

Hi Adam,

What's the fastest speed you can attain at the long straights of the fast
circuits, with minimum rear wing and a 6th gear of, say, 64 ?

Well these 1:17's in montreal are not race setups. These sort of times
are only achieveable by making a hotlap setup in other words very low
ride hight where the plank is wearing after only one lap. You couldn't
actually use this setup in a race.

A good time in montreal for a quick race would be mid 121's and very
high 1:20's. In a 100% race 1:22's. Mind you these are my times so if
anyone does better in races congratulations becuase i've done everything
to my setup you can imagine. Besides these are what the computer does at
ace level using the pieter's 97 carset. So it would be pretty stupid if
you could be 5secs faster than the computer. After all this is a RACING
game.

Now about your 1:26 at montreal that sounds like you havn't got a setup
or if you do its a very bad one. On pieter's grand prix2 page there is
an excellent race setup guide.

By the if your wondering i use a hyper stimulator for a control. Its a
cokpit you sit and drive. Cost $1800 dollars but worth ever cent. Check
it out at http://connexus.apana.org.au/~natpro/hyper/

Well, Yeah......Hockenheim has plenty straight bits.  With no cheats to
the prog, and little wing I get up to 209 mph in my JPS Jammer Lotus
;-).

The players cars always have the best traction and power. Only when
the computer controls the various teams/cars does the difference in hp
and traction come into affect.
