GPL converter - getting it to work ?

by Karl Branki » Wed, 29 Mar 2000 04:00:00

Hi

I`ve been trying to get the demo version of the converter to work.

I have Nascar 3, Nascar 99 and (of course) GPL.

I set up the directories for all as requested and it says "GPL/ N3/ N2
directory found" but no tracks then appear in the box for conversion. Any
ideas ?

I`m using UK version of GPL and Nascar 3. US version of Nacar 1999.

Any help greatly appreciated.

If I do get it to work then I`d like Cart (ICR2) racing and Nascar Legends.
Any ideas how / where to get these in the UK ?

Thanks.

Karl.

You need a full install of the games.

Allison has listed several times here the correct url for buying the
CART Racing cd directly from Sierra.  Search the newsgroup and you'll
find the link to the correct package.  Make sure you follow her advice
because there are several pressings of the title and at least one of
them does not have the enhanced 3d graphics.

You should also be able to install right from the CD, I did this with the
full converter for N99, N3 and NL. It should also work for ICR2 since all I
did was copy the files from CD to the hard drive without doing any
installation.

Too bad they use UPS to get the software to Europe which costs US$34,
which I think is a bit steep when I tried to order NL and CART for a
total of ~$40. I cancelled it. :(
