Car falls into space in F1RS!

Car falls into space in F1RS!

G'day,

I encountered a new phenomenon in F1RS today. The car fell through a
barrier and seemingly into space!

While using the outside view at Nurburgring, I was punted off the road
by a Minardi (would you believe?), and into the barriers on the left
side of the track, in the short straight before the final corner.

Well, imagine my surprise when the car started disappearing THROUGH
the barrier, and it actually topples off the edge and down through
space! And its very repeatable too.

Right after you go through the last left-right chicane, pull over to
the grass, and its about 1/3 odf the way along before you reach the
Fosters logo in the grass. Hard to explain I know, but its very funny
to watch a Ferrari spinning down in mid-air!

Has anyone else "dropped off the face of the earth" while driving?
I think I will go get HyperSnap DX and get some screenshots now...

I`ve had a similar problem in Australia , where by part of the track turns
to quick sand, it only occurs after a few laps of the race in GP mode a
effectively knackers the whole field as they carn`t get past it, they simply
sink into the track then pop back out weird....

I had a similar experience when I put some 32 MB EDO SIMMs in my
computer
that apparently the motherboard could not read properly.  Win95 booted
OK,
but when I ran a race at Australia, I could see this huge fence-like
structure
towering over the track.  Then half way through the first lap, a "yellow
flag"
message came over the radio.  In front of me, a large section of the
track was
missing, just black space.  A flag marshall was waving a yellow flag
next to
it.  The whole field in front of me was going over the edge, and falling
off
the track.  When I went over, the program seemed to go into a loop
lasting
about 2 seconds, showing the same 3 or 4 cars falling over the edge.  I
could still switch cars and camera positions.  The CC cars were
frantically
jerking their steering left and right as they plunged off the cliff!
Should've got a screenshot!  BTW-you don't need Hypersnap to get
screenshots.
Type "scrshots" in a running game(don't know if you have to be on the
track),
then anytime you hit [ALT][F12], you will get a *.raw screenshot file
made in
your main F1RS directory.  You can convert the *.raw files to *.bmp
files
with the "fixraw" dos utility at The Unofficial F1 Racing Simulation

Car falls into space in F1RS!

This is great info!  Thanks, Steven!

Excuse me for showing my ignorance, but for sims other than F1RS (ie
those running in Windows on a Rendition card in RRedline mode, like N2
or SODA, or in DOS, like ICR2/Rendition), is there an easy way to get
screenshots, or is a utility necessary?  If so, what utility?

BTW, I have gone off into space by hitting the guardrail at ***
Square at Monaco.  Very entertaining.
