accidents and saves

Hi all,

Just a few thoughts on accidents realism and saving.... They both leave
room for improvement !
I've become quite good at braking slightly later than the guy in front of
me, which makes my - oh so slightly - bump the back of his car and makes
him either takes a wider line of fly straight in the sand traps  ! This
with damage enabled, at no expense to me. Hence the question: are F1 cars
that solid ? I've seen many "damon nose jobs" in last year's races, so I
doubt it !

Also, is it me or does the save feature suck ? If you're playing a
championship and - like me- are not the driving God you'd like to be,
you end up saving the race every 5 laps or so, just in case... man....
esc, save, ok, overwrite, ok, watch the track map which you don't care
about, back to***pit, remove pause.... Pfffffff...

Worse if you lose it and want to open a saved game, it adds 10 more mouse
clicks (yes, I know it's brazil no, I don't want the championship points
...Arghh. Those track screens should be disabled, or better, I'd like a
menu (immediately after escape is hit) that says "return to last
saved"....
This is painful (until I get more consistent!). Other than that, whatta
game !

You're correct, the damage model in GP2 is, um, lacking.

Maybe GP2 was purposely designed that way to deter folks from doing the
constant save-crash-reload thing.  But, judging by the clunky interface when it
comes to more trivial matters, I somewhat doubt that that was GP2's intention.
