RBR: two down, zero to go 8)

Hi folks,

thanks to Malc's suggestion I soldered an additional black wire to the
third port of the brake pot in my tsw2 pedal base, unplugged the red
one where it goes into the pedal base, stuck in the black one instead
and hey presto! both axes "work" into the same direction now.

To get rid of the "flickering" effect (where the brake stays on after
a mere touch of the throttle), I followed Tony's (?) suggestion from
another thread and slightly pressed down the brake pedal while
calibrating in windows.

All other sims picked up the wiring change flawlessly, most notably
GPL and F1C (it needed a re-assignment of the brake axis), but I have
no doubt about lfs, N2003, and GTR.

In closing, all my (current) RBR problems have been fixed, not in the
least thanks to the efforts of this group and the nice guys over at
the RSC RBR forum and the german simracers connection.

I was *this* short of sending RBR back to amazon for a refund, but the
big smile on my face after a couple of "attempts" at Harwood really
goes to show it would have been a crying shame!

If you have further questions or want me to provide a drawing of what
I did to the TSW2 brake pot, please post in this thread or contact me
by email.

Thanks guys!

Nice one ;-)

Wonder how many will be less persistent & just return it to the shop
though?

The game is awesome....when it works. Too bad so many people are having
problems with it.

Well all I can say it's their *own damn fault* (tm) (the coders, not
the buyers ;-) But I smell a *** theory with all those Logitech
logos plastered all over the sim... maybe they weren't "allowed" to
test the sim with high end equipment, though the high end sector no
doubt is what this product is aimed at.

Cheers,

uwe
