thanks to Malc's suggestion I soldered an additional black wire to the
third port of the brake pot in my tsw2 pedal base, unplugged the red
one where it goes into the pedal base, stuck in the black one instead
and hey presto! both axes "work" into the same direction now.
To get rid of the "flickering" effect (where the brake stays on after
a mere touch of the throttle), I followed Tony's (?) suggestion from
another thread and slightly pressed down the brake pedal while
calibrating in windows.
All other sims picked up the wiring change flawlessly, most notably
GPL and F1C (it needed a re-assignment of the brake axis), but I have
no doubt about lfs, N2003, and GTR.
In closing, all my (current) RBR problems have been fixed, not in the
least thanks to the efforts of this group and the nice guys over at
the RSC RBR forum and the german simracers connection.
I was *this* short of sending RBR back to amazon for a refund, but the
big smile on my face after a couple of "attempts" at Harwood really
goes to show it would have been a crying shame!
If you have further questions or want me to provide a drawing of what
I did to the TSW2 brake pot, please post in this thread or contact me
by email.
Thanks guys!
