NFS: PU Crashing car also crashes computer

Has anyone else been able to crash their car so bad it crashes the
computer as well.  This happens to me at least once a day where I will
be racing and either hit something head-on or clip a fence or
somerthing that will send the car airbourne.  Any severe crash seems
to freeze the screen (sound continues) and locks up the keyboard
forcing me to power-off reboot.

This has happened wtih a Viper770, GeForce CLAP card and now my
Prophet 2 GTS card.   Using a CL Live X-Gamer sound card.  Don't know
if it is hardware or software.  Just curious...

Talk about realism.  EA offers something that even the
*** GPL enthusiast would envy.

Hi Sinjun,

I've been playing NFSPU for a few days (with my MadCatz Andretti wheel,
as a matter of fact, which I love, etc.).

No problems here, and I've hit some stuff really hard.. rear-ended
another 911 right into a bridge opening, for example. I love this game
and now want to buy an old Porsche worse than ever.

I have the Diamond Viper 770 Ultra 32.

Good luck!

Andrew

Hi,
Just a silly question: Did you install NFS5 on your C hard drive?
At first, I installed the game on my drive D, and had a lot of strange
crashes (really a LOT, including because of car crashes!) and it finally all
worked perfectly when I reinstalled the game in drive C!
I do not understand why it worked, but it did :).
Cheers,
Cyrille
