Both Monaco Grand Prix Racing Sim 2 and Sports Car GT have weather
effects. The MGPRS2 rain is excellent, with a great 'on-coming' rain
feel and spray from opponents.
SCGT also has rain effects, but no 'on-coming' rain. The spray effects
are good, and the handling is slippery, though SCGT has a tendency to be
a bit less so than MGPRS2.
It depends if you want to race Sports Cars or F1 cars. MGPRS2 takes a
lot of practice to get good, but is an excellent sim (the graphics are
bright, unlike GPL which tends towards more authentic looking scenery
and hillsides, etc. - it's a matter of personal preference - though
1990's F1 is more colourful than 1967 F1).
Both of these sims require some serious horsepower, both in CPU and
video card. At least a 3DFx card and a PII, with a PIII and Voodoo 2
card being recommended, with a cable modem for multiplayer (though the
Ubisoft Game Service has been used with fine results with a P166 and a
33.6 connection for a race of MGPRS2).
Hope this helps.
