Looking for a new wheel.

Hey guys.  Time has come to replace my broken down Thrustmaster Ferrari FF.
The feedback cable broke and is impossible to fix.

Would like the same wheel as replacement but Thrustmaster products are
nowhere to be found these days; not even eBay.

Does anyone have recommendations for a decent FF wheel that has shifter
paddles and gas/brake paddles right on the wheel?  My only other requirement
would be that the gas/brake paddles be on separate axis.

Thanks for any pointers.

The Logitech Driving Force for the Playstation 2 is great.

With the latest software (downloadable from logitech.com) you can program
all the buttons and the hat switch and adjust the sensitivities of all the
axis.

It works with separate or combined axis.

Haven't found a PC game yet that doesn't work with it.

PS.  I use the paddles for gas and brake and two of the twelve buttons for
up and down shifts.  Works great.

What's the problem with Thrustmasters product distribution?

Beats me, but if you go to the online retailed that TM lists on their site,
you'll only find 2 joysticks and some kind of a gamepad up for sale, which to
me is an indication of a problem.

The products they list on their site all have come out a number of months
ago, so the company seems to have stalled growth wise.  Might have something
to do with the Guillemot acquisition.  Their best wheel is only available in
Europe.  Coincidentally, Guillemot seems to be a French company.

I called TM a while ago and the rep said he'd email me with names of some
retailers that sold their FF GT but never got anything.

But if you know something about purchasing their stuff that I'm missing out
on, I'm all ears, believe me.

Try a Logitech Momo.  It doesn't have a drive cable that can break, it
uses gears.   The pedals are also very good.

TM is now Guillmot (Thrustmaster was a GREAT company, sadly its gone),
and I give their support a "1" out of "10". Forget getting any help
from them for ANYTHING. I had their most expensive flight controller
(Cougar HOTAS) and they screwed me around for 4 MONTHS, telling me
(after two months) that I had told them the wrong part (I had the
ORIGINAL emails, made them look like the idiots they were), they
"lost" my emails (after I called their bluff), RE-sending all my
purchase info THREE TIMES, and on and on it went..

I actually got the broken part replaced by a regular joe on a forum
that had replaced his with 3rd party stuff (was a Y axis potentiometer
- Guillmot's was PLASTIC! in a $300 controller!) and sold it on EBay 2
months before the right part arrrived!!!

I wouldn't buy anything from them if it meant giving up flying and
racing.. which of course won't happen with all the GOOD companies out
there!

Go Logitech, Microsoft, or ANYONE else!!

Cheers!
