They drive wide open the entire race. A single car by itself on the track
will lose anywhere from a tenth to a half-second per lap to a pack of cars
that are drafting. So once you lose the draft, there's a very good chance
you will never be able to catch the pack again. If you happen to be running
by yourself and a pack of drafting cars comes up on you, you may not be
able to get going fast enough to catch the draft as they go by. That's why
they keep their foot in it all the time, even if it looks like something
bad is about to happen. Lift and you can kiss that Top 10 goodbye.
