I suggest you read Malcolm Edeson's article at:
http://www.racesimcentral.com/articles/columns/maxx_russia1.shtml
Among other things it covers just the problem you have there, as well
as a possible solution.
Cheers,

If your car is understeering (push) putting more lock on will just make it
worse.
Lift off the throttle ( a little) and the front should regain some grip. The
ideal would be to smoothly come back to full throttle in the second half of
the turn, but I usually end up lifting & re-applying the throttle a couple
of times with the car see-sawing it's way out of the corner. It's not
perfect but it's better than ploughing into the gravel!
Weight transfer is the key here I think.
Malc.
Yeah, I end up lifting during the turn. Then I lose ground to the guys who can
just mat the throttle at the apex.
Guess I need another 2000 laps of practice. See ya sometime next year...

I usually brake so early that I go on the throttle *before* the apex. Of
course, Greger & Co brakes later and goes on the throttle closer to the
apex, and are doing faster laps than me. My point is: Do not compare to the
aliens. Drive the way you can as fast as you can. I can't drive like Greger.
I just drive as fast as I can: I brake early, and get back on the throttle
(at high gear) slightly too early.
