New Racing Controller?

On Computer Chronicles today (probabrly shown a while ago
elsewhere) they showed a new PC driving controller which you
just hold in your hands and is not attached to a base.  From
what I could see just tipping it to the left or right controlled
the steering.

Apparently it also has analog controls for other functions which
you control with your hands.

I didn't get the name of this product.  Does anyone know what I
am talking about?  If so is it any good and is there a link to
more info?

Both Microsoft and Logitech make joysticks/gamepads with this "tip"
technology.  I assume it works fairly well until you sneeze, the phone
rings, or the NJ Devils score the series winning goal in game 7 of NHL
playoffs.  That is... It probably takes a fair amount of concentration when
using it.

A friend of mine has a gamepad that uses the tilt-to-turn technology.  I
didn't like it and found it very difficult to be accurate when using it.

The question is, why on earth would anyone want anything like this. I assume
this  is aimed at the lying on the floor in front of the TV with the
Nintendo crowd?
