If these guys really want it to be realistic.. stay off the dang wall. In
real racing if you hit the wall like that, you would be pitting for new
tires and to repair the sheet metal damage
If you want to know how to work within the game as we have it, if you hit
the wall just take your foot off the gas until you get off of it. If you
are not on the gas while you are on the wall, you will not get the
acceleration penalty when you get off of it

I spent three hours at Michigan tonight to gain 2-tenths of a second
per lap and ended up with a great sense of accomplishment.
Assuming a hack existed, I probably could have installed it in two
minutes flat but that would just be admitting to myself that I
couldn't have done it without cheating.

Well, good for you. Here's to hoping you never have to swerve to the right
like I did to miss the car directly in front of me who lost control and went
into a slide. Guess I should feel lucky I just scraped the wall. Of course,
the game didn't see it this way and slowed me way down.
