gp2 backwards

In gp2 I did a quick race yesterday and the green light came so I nailed
it and to my suprise I went straight back and gave Jean Alesi a nice
suprise.  I looked at the controls setting and nothing diff.  it worked
last time and the joystick (my t2s broken) works fine with other games.
Also i can't put it in reverse. Hoping it would go forward but only
choices are 1st and neutral. Any ideas? thanks

Could you're upshift and downshift buttons be set backwards?

Guessing your calibration is wrong.  If you are running acc./brake on
separate axises, you might have full throtle on when the gas pedal is
lifted, and the brake might be on while lifted (both are reversed left
to right, up and down).  You can solve this by calibrating the
acc./brake opposite of what the screen prompts say (ie., whe it says
left position, put the stick to the right!)

Or maybe, you just need a new transmission ;)
