The long waited GP2 is finally arrived in the US and I just bought mine at
babbger in the Washington DC areas for $49.95.

I have been driving around for about hour so.  My first impression is that
this game is as every bit good as everybody has been writing about in the
newsgroup.

I also have a virtual pilot pro and pedal set from CH which is very
easier to configure with the game and working well with the GP2.  For
those people who like to do some driving and piloting in front of your
computer, I would strongly suggest you use this set up instead of T2 which
is good for driving but I am not too sure about the flying.  The CH pilot
pro also has built in button for switching gears.

Final word.  Get the game as soon as you can and you will enjoy it.

Hi All,

My only gripe about the CH Virtual Pilot is that the angle of the yoke aka.
steering wheel is parallel to the table top rather than inclined like a wheel
should be.  I used to use one with TNFS and found that my forearms would start
to burn after a hour or so.  With the T2, the angle is the same (well, at
least closer) as in my car, so my forearms are used to it.  Once you wire a
couple of buttons to your T2 you will have a great F1 steering wheel.

Well,
Back to GP2!!!!

aka.

What I have done with my VPP is place it (NOT secure it to the table with
the screws) on my pull out keyboard drawer and tape it (with 200 mph duct
tape, of course) to the main desk. This gives me a perfect angle for
driving and is very comfortable.  It may not look very good, but who
cares ?  This isn't a fashion show.  It stays very stable as well
(especially in the draft) :)
