I have a great problem accessing RSC forums. I can get to the main RSC page,
but when I click on the forums button, the page starts to load according the
progress bar at the bottom but it always just sits there until I get the 504
error. Sometimes, not often, I can get to the main forum page, but if I
click on a forum header the same thing happens, it just sits there... ***y
frustrating.

Any ideas to solve this greatly appreciated

Thanks
Edward

What browser do you use (make & version)? Seems to me that your
browser's java virtual machine has a problem with the java code that's
run by the forums.

I use Outlook Express  6, xp pro. If this is the problem how do I go about
fixing it?
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated

hi edward, first of all install a decent web-browser like
Mozilla or FireBird http://www.mozilla.org/ and then try to
access the forums again.

Thanks Uwe, Mozilla works great. It'll takes some getting used to, but
it solved a few problems.
Much appreciated

Hi Edward,

You're welcome. Needless to say that you've improved your system
security significantly by dumping IE and going Mozilla.

FWIW, I prefer MozillaFireBird as I don't use the mail & news
part of Mozilla, you might want to look into that.

All the best & enjoy,

Uwe
