Goodday mates,
Who drives his car to times below 1:19.226 on
Imola (San Marino) in Microprose's Grand Prix 2?
Is there a reasonable site with a hotlap-competition?
Thanks,
'Guss'

I have seen times in the 1:17s (Ernesto de Angelis)
There's a time of 1m14.9 around somewhere. Don't know how real THAT one is, but
mine of 1m17.59 with the keyboard is definitely real :-)
Just look at http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/9326/ for more keyboard times.

How can I get the game to stop doing the "automatic in 5 seconds" thing? Is
it because I'm way back in the pack? Thanks all.

I think you have two drivers selected, so the computer is sharing
the race between the two. Go to the driver selection screen and make
sure there is only one driver selected (highlighted).
Choose only one car to drive! (You'll find that in the menus)
Arto
What do you mean by AUTOMATIC IN 5 SECONDS.?
Steven
If you race against yourself, the computer drives the other car and then
switches cars with you. You drive, then the warning, "automatic in five
seconds" at which time the computer takes over and you then see the other car.
Next comes "manual in five seconds" at which time you should be ready to take
over. You and the computer take turns with each car. It's pretty nifty.
nifty.
Wrong!
If you select one driver then it doesn't happen.
When you select two or more drivers, for example when racing against a
friend (both using the same PC), you each drive a portion of the race.
The computer gives the 'automatic in 5 seconds warning' to allow for
the change in drivers. When you are not in control of your own car, i.e
when your friend is driving, the computer controls your car.
