F1RS or GP2?

F1RS or GP2?

The sound, DB, the sound.  That gawd-awful F1RS engine sound drove me
from my chair within 10 minutes.  Yeah, I know, I guess you can change
it by diddiling a DLL or something, but any company that would put out
a 'serious' F1 sim with that _decidedly_ arcade engine sound... plus
that horrible understeer in the stock setup... well, you get my point,
perhaps.  As a knowledgeable sim racer, I was insulted.  The eye candy
I can live without.

Mark

I think the mere fact that new games are still being compared against
GP2 which is geting on for 3 years old just goes to show how good it
is. I doubt the same argument will be raging in 3 years time as to
whether F1RS is as good as whatever is about then.

Keith.

Looking at all the new F1 and other releases if I had the choice of buying
GP2 now or other sim I will still go for GP2, it's just so much better than
everything so far.

F1RS or GP2?

I have experimented with 32, 64 and 128 Mbytes of RAM and get:

32 Mbytes: maximum replay file size = 2 Mbytes
64 Mbytes: max replay = 2 Mbytes (!)
128 Mbytes: max replay = 28 - 31 Mbytes

Looks to me like GPL sets the maximum at 2 Mbytes until it sees more than 64
Mbytes of RAM.

Anybody else tried for the max with more than 128 Mbytes RAM?
