Hi, Not sure if this is the sort of thing were ment to be doing on this NG
but ere gose.

Will Grand PRix Ledgends run on an :
Intel Pentium MMX 233 with 32Mb Memory (Wow! and I thought upgrading my 486
to 12Mb was good)
and an ATI Rage Pro Direct X 6 and The MS Sidewinder FF Wheel.

I have a P-166mmx, 64 meg of SDRAM, 8meg ATI XPERT 98 and I have to dissable
so much of the graphics that its not fun.  And even with most of the
graphics dissabled, the frame rate gets very low.

My advice, upgrade, or play GP2.

Have a nice evening

Your system would be tolerable if you had a 3dfx card.  Without it, it's not
likely that you'll get the fps to run a decent race.  Before I got my new
computer, I had a Pentium 200mmx, 96 RAM, and a Monster II card.  During
training I'd get about 18-20 fps in the***pit.  Racing with 5-8 AI drivers
would slice into that fps, giving me around 12-14.  Because of these low fps
I did go to the outside view (F10) and my frame rate improved considerably.

And just once, for the heck of it, I tried GPL without my Monster II, in
software mode.  I was running about 6 fps in the pits during training mode.
It was real ugly.

But all in all even if you get a voodoo 1 card you'll be able to do
decently.  Without it, though, the prognostication looks dim.

Get a Rendition or Voodoo 2 and preferably another 32MB memory and you
should be able enjoy it with a few graphics options turned off.

Thats what ive been doing.

But the Editors and the Add-Ons aren't exactly as good as GPL in particular
driving on Monaz Banked in a car that looks like a 67 Lotus close up but as
soon as it's got 200m ahead of you it turns back to a 94 Williams.

Hi,

3dfx Uh Oh that means a PCI slot is the only option. All the ISA slots are
full. (Damn Midi Case).

What about a Vodoo Banshee.

I've been trying to convince my Dad to put another 128Mb in for the last
123..........um 6 Months.

I'm interested in puting in a Vodoo Card but was wondering about a Vodoo
Banshee.

I know of someone with a Vodoo Banshee with a Amd 333 what ever overclocked
to 411 with Rain.
and 512Mb memory in it and it's fast.......very fast........... I think you
get my point on that.
