Maybe someone in Simland could start a wish list web page for NASCAR 3.
Any takers?

I'd like to see the ability to drive into the garage area to make fixes
instead of selecting on a menu.  Might make for more of the "feel" of the
track.

This of course is a wish.....love to have fixes on NASCAR 2 for pits in
multiplayer.

GOOD IDEA!  THAT MIGHT BE THE ONE I DIDN'T THINK OF WHILE I WAIST MY
COPIOUSLY ABUSED FREE TIME.BUT HOW ABOUT THESE ONES.

INSTED OF ENDING A RACE BECAUSE OF A WRECK, WHY NOT ALLOW PLAYERS TO BE
TOWED INTO THE GARAGE AREA FOR A FIEW SECONDS, THEN RE-ENTER THE ONGOING
RACE MANY LAPS DOWN, FROM THE GARAGE.  IT WOULD BE BOTH MORE REALISTIC,
AND FAIR AS REAL NWC DRIVERS RUN JUNKERS IN ORDER TO KEEP THEIR
ACCUMULATED POINTS.

IT WOULD ALSO BE INTERESTING IF WE COULD TOGGLE ON AND OFF MISTAKES MADE
IN THE PITS.  FOR EXAMPLE, A CREWMAN COULD SLIP, OR THE LUGNUTS WEREN'T
TIGHTENED ALL THE WAY. (IT WOULD EVEN BE COOL IF THE CAR VIBRATED BECAUSE
OF THIS)

HOW ABOUT AN ENEXPLICABLE PLUMAGE OF SMOKE THAT FORCES YOU TO PIT.  THE
HOOD COULD GO UP,(ALOWING YOU TO SEE THAT BEAUTIFUL HOOD YOU DESIGNED)
LAPS GO BY WHILE THE TEAM FIXES A BROKEN OIL LINE, THEN BACK TO RACING.

IT WOULD ALSO BE COOL IF DURING PRACTICE SESSIONS, HALF OF THE DRIVERS
WERE ALREADY RUNNING HOT-LAPS, INSTEAD OF ALL DOING GOD KNOWS WHAT ON PIT
ROAD.

AND I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I THINK IT WOULD BE COOL IF I COULD
ACTUALY FINE TUNE MY ENGINE.  RICHING THE CARB MIXTURE FOR POWER, OR
LEANING IT FOR ECONOMY. AFTER ALL, DW DIDN'T GET CROWNED THE GAS MILAGE
KING FOR NOTHING.

AND WHAT'S UP WITH THE DRAFTING, AT TALLY OR USA, I CAN STEP OUT OF LINE
FOR LAP AFTER LAP, AND NEVER GET HUNG OUT TO DRY. IF I***UP, I SHOULD
HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.

HAS PAPYRUS EVER HEARD OF A YELLOW FLAG THROWN FOR MICROSCOPIC DEBRIS?

WHY CAN'T I EVER LOOSE A CYLINDER?

THE IN CAR PIT TIMER IS A MUST

DRIVER SIGNALS.  I HATE DRAFTING A CAR, ONLY TO HAVE THE DRIVER JAM ON THE
BRAKES UNEXPECTEDLY BECAUSE HE'S GOING TO PIT ... AND I'M SURE HE HATES IT
JUST AS MUCH WHEN I PUNT HIM DOWN THE TRACK A GOOD 300 YARDS.  THE CAR
SHOULD PERIODICLY BLINK OR SOMETHING SO THE DRAFTING DRIVER KNOWS THAT HE
PLANS TO CLIMB ALL OVER THE BINDERS.

THIS IS JUST A THOUGHT.  I ALWAYS THOUGHT THE SAME LAME WINNER CIRCLE SHOT
AFTER A WIN WAS MONOTONUS.  WHAT IF THEY RANDOMLY  SELECTED A CAMERA ANGLE
AS A SNAPSHOT FOR SOME PHONEY NEWSPAPER ARTICAL AND INCLUDED THE DRIVERS
NAME IN THE HEADLINE.  "MARTIN WINS FROM POLE AT BRISTOL"

I'M SICK OF ALWAYS RACING FROM THE FIRST PIT STALL.  AND IT WOULD BE
AWSOME IF 50 CARS PRACTICED, BUT ONLY 42 QUALIFIED FOR THE RACE.  IN OTHER
WORDS, BACK-MARKERS LIKE COPE AND HILLIN COULD PACK IT UP AND GO ON HOME.
SINCE THE DAMN YADR2 UTILITY CAN ONLY BE INSTALLED BY NASA MATHAMATICIANS,
PAPYRUS OWES THE COMMON DUMMY ONE.

THIS IS KINDA STUPID (KINDA ?), BUT WHAT IF THE WINDOWS GOT GRAYER AS THE
LAPS TICKED AWAY.  ON A PITSTOP, THE WINDOW COULD ACTUALY BE CLEANED.
(KINDA FAR FETCHED, HUH?)

NEVER ONCE HAVE I HEARD OF A RACE WHERE THE TRACK CONDITIONS DIDN'T
CHANGE.  I THOUGHT THE ANSWER TO THIS WOULD BE THE WEATHER RANDOMIZER IN
THE GAME.  NOT!!!!!  AS THE RACE GOES ON, THE LINE SHOULD ACCUMULATE MORE
*** (ACTUALY GETTING DARKER) AND BECOME MORE SLICK (IN HOT WEATHER) OR
STABLE (COOL) SO I HAVE TO CHANGE MY SETUP DURING A PIT SESSION, OR CHANGE
MY LINE.

WHAT IF YOU PIT, THEN THE YELLOW COMES OUT?  I THINK WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO
HIT ENTER OR ALT OR SOMETHING TO GET THE CREW TO SEND US OUT.

AND AT THE RISK OF TALKING YOUR FREAKI'N EAR OFF,ONE MORE. I THINK IT
SUCKS THAT I'M THE ONLY DRIVER (IN ONE PLAYER MODE) WHO CAN***THE RACE
UP.  IT'D BE NICE TO SEE DALE GIVE THAT 24 A LOVE TAP EVERY ONCE IN A
WHILE.  OR EVEN TO HAVE SOMONE BUMP-DRAFT YOU BY SOME HARD TO PASS
TRAFFIC.

DON'T GET ME WRONG, I ACTUALY LIKE TO WIN.  BUT THE MALADICTION IS OFTEN
WHAT MAKES THE VICTORY SEEM SO SWEET.  I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SUGGEST IDEAS
TO PAPYRUS, BUT IF YOU OR ANYONE ELSE DOES, I THINK THESE WOULD GIVE AN
EXCITING NEW TWIST TO AN ALREADY HEART PUMPING SIM.

Ed,
Well I have my own list going at my site. It's more a "new improved
ideas" page than a list of bugs. I think I have some ideas on damage
that is severe but not total. Why don't you check it out and send me
any suggestions?

Follow the "Future NR" link at my site, the URL in the sig...

I'd appreciate any comments.. :)

I second the wish for an AI that actually can drive down pit road.  In
multi-player mode the game is unplayable as it is now!!!
