I've only tried the LWFF, but I love it!

I have only tried one as well, but really love the Microsoft FF wheel/pedal
combo. It works with every game I own (except the old N2 and possibly the DOS
version of ICR2 (comments, anyone?)).
Depending on the game, the FF effects range from subtle/non-existent (SCGT,
TOCA2 where all you get is rumble strips and wall bumps), to integral to
controlling the car accurately (GPL, natch). The optical/digital control
surfaces require NO re-calibration, and the profile configuration software
bundles with the wheel makes it easy to customize controls and axes for
different games. The pedals support split axes for gas and brake (really does
make a difference for games that support it).
The clamping mechanism is very well engineered, but can only be clamped onto a
surface of about 2" max. thickness (I had to remove the upper drawer from my
desk so that I could attach the pedals). Other than that, the only other minor
beef I have is the lack of a column-type shifter. The F1-style paddles behind
the wheel are nice, but do take a bit of getting used to, especially at full
lock.
I paid about $130 for mine through mail order nearly 6 months ago, and can
recommend it highly.

>>Act Labs Force or Guillemot Ferrari, no doubt.
I thought I'd see more about the LWFF wheel. I was kind of leaning that way but now you other guys have got me thinking differently.
Any thoughts on the LWFF out there?
Thanks for the replies everyone, Dan

I was ready to trade off the Interact V4 for the new RS Force but I couldn't
do it. The InterAct V4 wheel has spoiled me. Until a wheel comes along that
has at least equal to performance in force feedback I have to remain
satisfied with this simple but very gratifying wheel.
