GPLRank Nations Cup: This is the Thanks I get?

I don't mind being slow...I accept it...but....I am embarrassed that my
lap times bring the USA's ranking down...So lately I have been re-running
the GPL tracks to bring my times down.  And I have.  At almost every track.
So far without attacking the Ring yet, I've improved my GPLrank by abut 15%.
  Still ***y awful but....it's progress.
So after knocking two more seconds off my handicap, I went to the Nations
Cup to see if my efforts had improved the standing of my country...
Not only did we NOT IMPROVE...We slipped BACK almost another second...  MAN!
What does a guy have to do for his Country?  hehehehehe

[sheepishly raises hand]

uh, yep, that would be me, the new guy from the usa who just completed a lap
at each track so I could have a rank (and what a rank it is!).

I'm working on my laps. I shaved two seconds off my Monza time in the last
three days, if it's any help... ah the shame, the shame. Maybe they'll have
me in Upper Kudisch. ;)

Yes, I agree, the Nations Cup is egregiously unfair to Americans.
We seem to have far too many dabblers who drag down our rank (yes, yes,
I know what my own rank is...).  :)

I think the Cup should be changed so only the top 10 (or so; the
specific number isn't that important) drivers from each country count.
That's what I'd do anyway.  Not that I'm complaining or anything.
It's all in fun, right?  RIGHT?  :-)

If your handicap is really large then you aren't included in the nation cup
average.  The cut-off is +200 I think. The nation's average will probably
drop when you have a bunch of guys just coming in below the 200 cut-off.

Does that mean the 20 or so Slovenians I created with a +300 rank are not
counted?

 ;)
