Hi folks,

Just back from a winvroc race at the Glen.  On lap three I set a 1:04.75 in
my Brabham.  I've never got below 1:08 before.

I do think it's correct, by the way--no smashes, etc.  Feels good!!  Great
car to sling around, that Brabham!

PS  Now if I can just repeat it.  You know, after Bob Beamon jumped 29' 2.5
" in 1968, he never jumped beyond 28' again . . . .  Me and Bob . . .

Isn't it amazing what getting chased will do for some people. I wish
it had that effect on me. Great time at the Glen, congrats.

Thats like my elusive sub 8:59 lap I had at the Ring once.  I decided to TRY a
race here and managed to do better than i though (the AI time spread here is
HUGE!!)  I started last and worked up to 15th by the end of the first
lap...9:04.xx.  Then 13th by lap 2...9:05.  On the 3rd and final lap I decided
to go hell bent for leather, let it all hang out, run for guts, glory and
umm...well I guess it was something in the class of copper since it sure as
heck wasnt gold...lol.  But man did I have that Eagle flying!!  Managed an
8:32.91 and got 10th place...never been under 8:59 again...

However I must send many congrats your way making 1:04 at the Glen.  Got my
best time there beat by more than 3 secs :-)  Good show!

Yes, and today, I aim to walk to campus in under 13 minutes.  I have
replaced my grooved-soled tennis shoes, with a pair of slicks, and am aiming
on finding a hat that will offer some sort of downforce.  Reducing the
toe-in a bit as well, if I can manage it stability-wise.

Get the women and children off the sidewalk!

Try a Trilby, you can adjust the amount of downforce by bending the rim :)
