I just Baught  NASCAR.

I go  great  for  about  ten laps at Richmond.  Then my tires  heat up
- big time!

Were talking 260 - 270. Nothing seems to help at Richmond. Can  I be
"overdriving" into the corners.

All tires? Or just the RF tire? What's the ambient temperature at the track?

In any case, there's a good chance you are driving to hard, especially if
you just bought the game. Do you get a lot of tire squeal in the corners?

I am suffering from the same problem, I do squeal in the corners but am
just following the AI cars at their speeds, so I don't see why I can't
do same speed, but my RF heats up to the 250 range and that tire wears
out in no time, course if I could stay off the wall maybe it would
matter more that my tires don't last! (;

Actualy Greg, you're probably getting into the wall beacause at that
temp the sim *** is melting off your tire and it's like driving on
an ice cube.

Start by softening the RF shock and increasing the RF tire pressure. You'll
probably have to play around with weight jacking and the RR shock/tire
pressure to balance the car out again. Chances are if the RF is
overheating, but none of the other tires are getting that hot, you're
fighting a serious push condition.

Brake earlier and more gently going into the corners, this will reduce the
amount of weight shifted to the RF which will help keep the temp down. Try
to late apex the corners so you don't have to use so much wheel lock to
keep the car off the wall coming off the corners. Richmond, N. Wilkesboro,
Martinsville, Loudon, and Phoenix are all tracks where getting a good line
off the corner is more important than pure corner speed. Sometimes just
easing up a tiny bit in the corners will actually get you better lap times
and save your right side tires at the same time.
