What did you use for your control system in Interstate76?

Wheel? Joystick? Keyboard or mouse? Those without wheels, how did you
find the control?

I used a joystick(Flightstick Pro) and I found the control to be
phenomenal,. Just a hint but when you get the game make sure you make one
of your joystick buttons the Emergency brake. Makes quick turnarounds as
easy as hitting the ebrake and cutting the wheel to either side, then push
forward on the joystick and power slide in the opposite direction. VERY
cool and extremely intuitive.

At first I used keyboard...I was joystickless. :(

Then I bought a Joystick....and its fantastic with a joystick.  You'll need
to keep your left hand on the keyboard and your right hand on the joystick.

the TAB key toggles reverse, and you'll want to be able to hit the F3 key
if you need to start driving around in reverse.....

It sounds complex, but my joystick setup was like this (one of those
standard cheapie 4 button joysticks for $9.99):
Button One: Fire Selected Weapon
Button Two: Cycle through weapons
Button Three: Recall Last View (allows you to easily switch between two
views....in my case, the in-car virtual cocpit mode...and the exterior
"outrun" view)
Button Four: Target Nearest Enemy

Kept my left hand on the left side of they keyboard, to operate the F3 key
if I needed to see behind me, and the TAB key to toggle reverse.........

I couldn't have asked for smoother, more precise control...seriously, you
won't miss a wheel in this game.....in fact, I think with a wheel, you'll
spend too much time cranking it back and forth (especially when you try and
turn after that guy you just blew by...and realise that your car isn't
going to do what you want it to....fishtail city)....

Joystick is definately the way to go with this game.....BUT.....of
course...I don't have
a wheel....so.

(the only problem I've seen with wheels is that they are really designed
for DRIVING, with buttons or gearshifts placed somewhat inconviently for a
game like this, where the emphasis is on combat-driving)

Have you tried using a button(on the joystick) for the e-brake? It really
aloows you to spin around  in an instant.

I used a Thrustmaster T2 and the keyboard. This works extremely well. If
you don't have a wheel, a good four button joystick with hat should work
pretty good.

I'm using an FCS/WCS II setup.  I've got everything programmed in.. buttons
on the joystick are targetting and hand break.  The WCS controls throttle,
weapons other than gun 1 and all external views.  The hat does look left and
right, forward view and shifts the car into reverse.

In the missions, I've touched the keyboard twice.  Once to start the engine
when it was off and once to put it into drive.

To be honest, I had an unfair advantage in multiplayer games.
