I didn't read the text, but o-f-c-o-u-r-s-e the game will feature
single player! Just as GP3 will feature FF.
Nobody is that crazy to release a racing game without single player or
FF!

I have to agree that releasing an online-only racing game is crazy.
Then again, why sell a game once when you can sell it and then rent

As much as I like online play, I simply won't buy a game like this if
it isn't a self-contained entertainment package unto itself. There
have been times with various games when the online competition was so
unchallenging and/or inconsiderate that I simply bagged the online
action for the night and turned back to racing the AI. A game MUST
offer this alternative, or it's not really a "game" at all, but,
rather, a virtually-interactive online forum/community.

Stop it...just stop it...NFS MC will have a single mode. You guys are
simply engaging in speculation and rumors. Rumors put out there simply as
a publicity stunt. Get this thru your heads, the people at nfs are not
***s, and only an *** would be stupid enough to release a non
single player game, because most people would not buy it. Its totally
ludicrous. Now just simma down.

The Motor City website no longer contains any references to competing
against "virtual drivers offline." I suppose that is open to
interpretation, but my interpretation of that, when placed in the
context of a preview that says "no single mode," would be that Motor
City is going to be online only. And, speaking only for myself, that
means that EA is going to have to find someone else to buy the copy
that I would otherwise have purchased.
