Will it be any good, I wonder?
Fancy branding and graphics are one thing, but what about the realism? I'm
*so* looking forward to someone releasing a decent BTCC sim!!!

"Cellophane flowers of yellow and green. Towering over your head."
I think that this will be the next generation of the brilliant AI from the
little know PS One game Jarett and Labonte racing (which was really a TOCA
game with a misleading title).
The AI in that game was terrific. They raced with different styles,
different levels of aggression, and most importantly they seemed eerily
human. I could not believe this was the AI of a PS game. The physics and
damage model were damn good as well. The big drawback was dated graphics
running it on a PS2 and viewing huge jaggies on a 36 inch TV with no USB
wheel support. ;0) Imagine the potential of this updated on a powerful
machine.
I am very e***d about the evolution of this AI given the advantages of a
PC or nextgen console. I think this game has the potential to be . . . wait
for it . . . the GPL of professional sports car racing. A bold claim, I'll
take my chances. ;0)
