Man, it's gonna be eerie to race against that #3 car in N4 from now on.
It's a sad day for all of sports.

I'm wondering whether to leave him in my "drivers list" in N3. On one
level, it would be a tribute to "keep the man alive". On another...
well, I took Kenny Irwin out of there after his passing too.

It's all just too weird right now. I was too young when Senna died to
feel the full impact of it - now i'm experiencing it, albeit in a form
of racing I don't follow as closely. And man, it just sux.

Yeah, I'm trying to decide the same thing.  On the one hand, it would just
be entirely too weird and almost even wrong to race against him, but on the
other hand, I think everyone probably enjoys running side-by-side with the
black #3.  It just wouldn't seem at all the same without him.

I've always used his car as my own since the first Nascar Racing came out,
and I'll continue to do that. But I'm gonna make some small changes to the
paint. Not sure in what way just yet, but it'll be appropriate.

He da man.

I agree, I already took him off my rosters.........out of respect.

My first reaction was to remove the #3 from N4.  Then I thought it'd be good
to keep his memory alive by tradin' paint with him.

I'm quite undecided at this point what to do.  I think I may have to run
F1CS2K and leave N4 alone for a while....

I'm keeping him in because I think it is more of a tribute to do so.
Every time you see #3 in one of your sims then you will remember him.
IMO.

This is tough for me too.  But, one way to look at it is this...

His car is in there, and famous as it is,  because he was the backbone of
the sports e***ment.  His cars presence has helped bring e***ment to our
Sim, and I would have to think that he would want us to go on enjoying his
presence and the e***ment it brings.

I'm sure there is a better way to say it, but you get the point...

I'm leaving him in.  I'm running the out of the box 2000 season, and I'm
leaving him in until I start running a 2001 calendar.  Then I'm going to run
with him at the season opener.  After that, I don't know what I'm going to
do.

I've put Dale Jnr's in his Oreo sponsored car (to show a slight difference
in livery) and I'm running the #8 myself, seemed a good thing to do.

When I run my simulation of the 500 later tonight, I'll leave Dale in
the lineup.  I want to race him one last time.  I respect him enough
to do that.  But it won't ever be the same, in real life or even on
the simulator when I'm looking for a bump draft partner.  It's a loss
like no other in recent memory.

Well, I raced against, and as, Kulwicki for quite some time as
things didn't feel right without him out there.

I'd leave Dale in, myself.  Part of a game is the escapism.

leave him in.
Who would be left on the grid If you were playing GPL?
its a fitting memorial that Dale will forever be racing his black #3 and
will never be forgotten as long as he remains in the Nascar sims

I agree. Davey Allison is still driving the #28 in mine. Although
I guess this may eventually cause problems as living drivers move into the
cars of those who have passed on. Come to think of it if you did this for
every driver I'd have 2 or 3 Texaco #28's right now.....
