Viper Racing very cool!

I just picked up VR this afternoon at EB for $14.99 and started playing
tonite, WOW what a great driving sim.  I have been playing SCGT these past
few weeks and really enjoying it as a nice break from GPL and NASCAR, but I
had yet to get Viper Racing for some reason.  I have only played a few
tracks so far but everything realy "feels" great.  So any pointers to sites?
adivce? this and that about the game people can offer up? thanks in advance.

There's a patch at their web site, but it mostly covers network play You can
also get car setups and color schemes there. You may also want to try:
http://welcome.to/ViperChallenge/

My favorite view for racing is the 'suspension cam'. Although it looks weird, it
gives you the best view of exactly how close your tires are to the edge of the
track.
Want to have fun? Jack the suspension up to 10 inches, turn off the damage, turn
on 'pave your world' in the hacks section, turn on the 'rear chase' view and go
off roading!

Kind a' says something about its sales, doesn't it? ;)

Viper Racing really does look quite special, especially the damage
modelling and the sky effects. I've only played the demo however, and
I think it'll probably stay that was, as Viper Racing isn't quite my
cup of tea.

Glad you're enjoying it though!

What's the oval track like?

BTW, download the patch for it and start using FF - if you have a
force feedback controller, that is. :)

Switch to a television camera, as it's most fun to watch those sorts
of fun things, IMO.

It was priced low at release.

I was under the impression that this was because it sold badly?

>I was under the impression that this was because it sold badly?

It came out the same time as GPL (seven - eight months ago) and it
retailed for $30.  Half price for a game of that age is reasonable,
no?

Now explain EB selling the *new release* MGPRS2 import for only $20
(what with the millions of fans, eh, DGF? :)

a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark

$14.99?  Viper Racing is $49.99 here in Kentucky!  I've never seen a cheap game
for the PC anywhere in Kentucky....  NASCAR2 is still 30 bucks!!

At release, a game hasn't sold a single copy yet.

I too bought it for the great price of $15.00.  It runs great with my
FF Sidewinder Pro.

Be sure to get the patch!  You'll be truly arm wresting with your FF
stick.
