improvement?
Has anything been left out of GTR2 that was in GTR? I'm just interested in
other people's opinions.

The low speed snap oversteer is fixed. I'm not an expert, so I don't
know about the rest of the differences.
Thing is, the new physics, although more realistic, is less challenging
to some people. The cars are no longer a tiny bit away from losing
control. Overstepping the limit usually means you are slower (slide
and/or having to back the accelerator off), not that you crash. That's
realistic, but some people don't think it's as challenging.
For me it's a major improvement. I think that's a majority view. A
significant minority finds it not an improvement. There are a couple
of mods floating around to make the physics more like GTR.

Have to agree on both counts. Doug Arnao said the latest tire data
they used indicated modern FIA slicks were surprisingly forgiving. I
also think the default setups are leaned *way* towards understeer. I
usually don't have time to do much setup tweaking, so I just hop in a
car that's easier to steer with throttle ;).
I uninstalled GTR within days of getting GTR2.

So what's the recommended way to create a more balanced car? Tweaking
the ARB's or splitters?
Cheers, uwe
