SODA in UK

I picked up a copy of SODA for 19.99 pounds at Debenhams in Guildford
last weekend. As someone has already pointed out the product name on the
box is "Gripped" in the UK.

I am running it on an AMD K5 166 with a Creative Labs 3d Blaster PCI.

My impression is that my machine provides good  frame rate with almost
everything turned on at 640x480 but starts to stuggle when other cars
are on the screen, especially at the start of the race.

Overall impression is that this is quite a different product from ICR
and Nascar, quite reasonably since it appears to have been made by
another company.

My feeling is that the graphics are pretty poor by comparison with ICR
and Nascar but this is compensated for with the gameplay and car phyics.
It's quite a challenge to get round the tracks with any sort of
competitive lap times and to win races.

I haven't tried the track designer yet.

If this had been a 49.99 pounds new release then I would not consider it
worth the money. As a 19.99 new release it appears to present good
value.
