Getting Kali to work on win 95?????

by Stephan » Mon, 24 Mar 1997 04:00:00

Hi there, I am a Kali registered user, and have finally upgraded(??) to
win95.  I've dnwloaded Kali95, but it tells me that it wants a 32bit
winsock"like the one provided in win95".  Thats all great, but how do I
access my isp with this 32bit winsock???
ie:  what program do I use, or can I dwnload one from somewhere.
Thanks in advance.

Steph.

I see what you are saying and know whats going around. First, what internet
server are you using? How are you accessing it? Are you using the Win95
trumpet? Then I can analise the error. Please reply as soon as possible.

I'm betting you are using aol or Compuserve.  If your connect
software is 16 bit like those, then that could be your problem.  You
can update Cserve by contacting customer service there are 32 winsocks
for wincim avalilable.  aol should have 32 bit included but check with
thier support folks, if you can stand the wait.
