How do you install the NO-CD-ROM patch?

by Mika Vannik » Sat, 22 Aug 1998 04:00:00

  Hi

I hope you will excuse me, but earlier today I asked for sites
for extra tracks for GP2 and thank you to all who have assisted in
this respect.

Now ------------ I have visited a few of the places, and it seems
that I have to have the NO CD-ROM patch installed in my computer.

I am not a computer wizard, and do not want to mess  something up
because of my stupidity, so if someone could fill be in on the steps
top load the patch properly ------------------- I again -------------
would appreciate the assistance.

Thank you again.    Nice to know a bunch of GREAT people are in
here and willing to assist when needed.

From memory (its been a long time since I installed the NO CD-rom
patch?) you unzip (using winzip or similar) the file and extract the
resulting files to your gp2 directory.

Then run the "nocdrom.bat" file (with the gp2 cd in the cd drive) and
it will copy all the necessary files to your hard disk, and you will
then no longer require the cd.

Its as easy as that?
