>>Hm... Sub 1 minute? In career mode I am doing 0:56 in a maxed PRO
>>viper. I guess I will go down to about  0:52 in a maxed GT Viper.

>My 1:00 was in a standard Viper in Quick Race at Silverdale.

Allright - what's your *exact* time on Silverdale? I finaly broke
through 1:01 today...

>I have no idea. I have not entered the career mode yet.

The answer is: "no". Regardless of your progress in career mode,
multiplayer and quick race vipers are always the same.

Have you driven a Viper?  It's an absolute Torque-Monster that
re-defines 'Burnout'.

I drove one in a parking lot one time, and it scared the hell out of
me...

I'd _love_ a job like that!

Did I forget to mention I visit pretty 20~30 yr old female nurses all day,
make enough money to afford the latest computer hardware and games without
struggle, and am self-employed..so NO BOSS?

Yeah..it's a good job...

This makes sense given your subsequent observation on weight transfer.  Even
at low speeds, getting on the throttle should load the rear wheels and
unload the front wheels, which would cause the understeer you mention.
INstead, VR does no apparent weight transfer.

This is probably what bugged me about trying to 'catch' the car.  It almost
seems sometimes in VR, that when you start to spin, you might as well fold
your hands in your lap.  Opposite lock and a quick feather of the throttle
should help tuck the tail in in a bad oversteer situation so you can get
back on it, but in VR it just starts you swinging practically out of
control.

lateral Gs.  That is more than a Viper, Vette, Ferrari or Lambo of any
stripe on stock tires.  The car is pretty sticky in real life, but nowhere
near that much!  I haven;t gotten out of club in VR, so I don't know what
the best tires can do for it in the game.  Does anyone know of an available
for d/l saved career with a fully rodded Viper?

Yeah..isn;t  that wacky?  I noticed in VR that driving fast but
really..uh..carefully, seems to catch you up to the competition faster than
driving what seems to be much faster. (does that make sense?)

This I have to investigate.

Thanks a lot for the real-world feedback...and just out of curiousity...if
you own a real Viper, what the heck are ya doin' sitting in front of yer
computer!?!?!  Get out there!

I thought Troy turned the 58.73 with the quick race Viper???  It was set
during the time of the demo and everyone including me was out to break it.
And of coarse, in the demo there was no career mode, and hence no upgrades.
My best with the quick race Viper on silverdale was a 1:00:02    :(   still
a while off.....oh well back to racing....
