GP4 is programmed....uhh...idiosyncratically. I would stick to
F1-2002.
If you went from 32 to 48fps that would be a 50% increase. Pretty
damn impressive if you ask me. What were you expecting?
Not the fastest of processors nowadays. You may well be reaching the
limits of what the CPU can do now....
Unless youare running with vsync on, unlikely.

I recall from being a theatre projectionsist in my younger
days that movies run at 24 frames/sec and that seems to be
pretty "smooth" to me, at least in the theatre....

try using tequila...... :)
That's not wrong it's quite normal. You should be very happy with that kind
of frame rate.
