fix for 75% brake limit with Driving Force wheel and GT3

by Michae » Sun, 27 Jan 2002 03:30:29

I was frustrated with the 75% braking limit, when playing GT3 with the
Logitech Driving Force wheel.  It was not such a big issue at first.  I
was able to get all golds in the license tests except Super License.

Finally, things got more difficult and I wanted 100% braking.  I
discovered some problems with the 5v reference voltage supplied to the
pedals from the USB.  This may affect the use of the wheel on the PC as
well.

I added a AA battery and variable resistor to bring the voltage up to
5.0v and it all works.  An electrical engineer could probably show me a
transisor part to do the voltage rebulation and remove the need for the
pot.

I hope this helps,
