Off-topic CART question.

Hello all. A buddy of mine is going to the Molson Indy in Toronto this
weekend. We got talking and he is now wondering if anyone has gone to an
Indy race, do they allow video cameras into the seats?? We were discussing
how they'd sound on a good vid-cam as opposed to the TV sound. So, he wants
to see before he drags the vid-cam there and is not allowed to use it. This
is his first CART race, so it may sound a lame question to those experienced
veiwers out there.     Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Video cameras are allowed.  I have many hours of tape myself.

My son and I attended Toronto last year. No probs with any camera. Plus, you'll
be overwhelmed at how easy it is to film drivers, crews, cars, Andrettis on
mopeds, etc.

Just be prepared for incredible lines at Customs as you attempt to leave the
country. Allow LOTS of time before your flight!

Depends on the vidcam.  If it records hi-fi stereo it should sound way
better than TV - I've recorded rallying in Wales, an F1 test at Silverstone
and got some festival of speed footage from last year, and the sound is
superb as it's not turned down for commentators to speak over.
