Serious flaw with MP Monza competition???

As I understand the rules to the MP Lap-It-Up competition, one is
required to submit their best lap time by August 31st and save the hot
lap replay file as proof. True?

So whats to keep someone from downloading a good hot lap from any one
of the numerous web sites, submitting the laptime to MP, and claiming
it as their own? I sincerely hope there's something I'm missing here,
'cause if this was possible, obviously it would make the whole thing a
farce.

Tell me it ain't so.................. :(
I'd hate to think all this time I've invested at Monza was all for
not.

Well I think they'll look to see if the name in the hotlap (driver)
is the same as the one submitting it...i dont know if it is
possible to hack a hotlap and put your name because i'm not
interested in doing it...I've done what i could at monza and that
stops at 1:22:802...

see ya
