Hit "J" to turn the joystick off, and the line will stop scrolling,
allowing you to calibrate, set controls, and race.

Has anyone every had this problem?

When NASCAR 1 open to the menu screen, the highlighted line scrolls through
the menu and won't stop.
Does anyone know what causes this?

I've had this problem before in DoomII, but it didn't happen every time and
that was a different computer.

None of my other game do this, and I bought this thing so I COULD RACE!!

Help

Usualy only took 48 tries <chuckle>

Hit J to toggle joystick mode (if that key isn't right, look at your
command reference summary card), then go and calibrate your joystick.
Sometimes the T-1 will do that if you jiggle that joke of a shifter it
has.  Nascar2 doesn't do this cuz it uses a mouse instead.
