There is no single GT series the way there is for F1. In fact, GT is just a
subclass of Sports car racing.

There is Professional Sports Car Racing, (formerly IMSA), American LeMans,
FIA, SCCA both pro and amateur, Trans Am, (Yes, Trans Am cars are GTs),
Porsche Super Cup, Super Cars, and several other series, each with their own
rules and point systems.
