Intel 430VX and N2, anybody got it to work ?

by Bart Saylo » Fri, 28 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I had bought N2 the first day it became available after having been a
N1 player for quite some time. However it has never run right on all
the tracks.

Q. has anybody gotten N2 to work on a 430VX MB (properly).
,,,or if a upgrade/downgrade is neccesary, is anybody running N2 on a
430TX MB with success?

The AI seems to work properly on the short tracks but not on the
faster tracks. I can set up a car as loose as possible, max tire
pressure, max shocks and cannot turn a 4.30 gear to red line on
Talladega. (think this will be addressed in a future patch??)

I have tried taking out the 32M EDO DIMM memory and replacing with
72pin memory without any help. I have bought another sound board with
hopes of correction with no change. I have seen where other people are
using the Millineum 4mg vidio card so I don't think that is the
problem. I can't believe the Intel P133 would cause any problem,,,,so
the only thing left is the MB chipset (since it is fairly new).
