Superbike World Championship pretty fun

I just picked this one up today, and despite how bad of a job EA did with NRev,
Superbike is a pretty solid game.  The bike will twitch under heavy braking
going into the turns, and in some cases it will even flip forward under hard
braking.  There are numerous options that you can change, everything from
grapics to bike control. I've had a couple of pretty tight races that were very
exciting, I really like the angry***waving that riders do when the get
bumped.  Anyway, dont be too quick to shoot this one down because of Nrev.
Let's just hope that Pro Sports Car GT takes after this title and not Nrev.
Well back to the game for me, gotta figure out how to set the bike up better.

Just my opinion

I also agree that Superbike World Championship is pretty good. After several
hours of play on my PII 450, Voodoo2 SLI setup, I have had no lockups or
bugs. Pretty amazing for a game nowadays, especially one from EA. I think
the highest resolution that can be reached is 800x600. Bike sounds are not
the greatest, but I have not tried all the bikes yet. So far it is extremely
challenging in Simulation mode. However, I have been struggling with what is
the best controller configuration. I have tried the MS Freestyle Pro, MS
Gamepad, MS Sidewinder Joystick, and my TSW. It appears that you really need
to take advantage of feathering the throttle and brakes, so using a button
for acceleration and brakes is not a good option. My question to anyone who
currently has the game is what joystick and button configuration are you
using and why? Thanks in advance.

I find just a regular joystick (MS Sidewinder Precision Pro) works
pretty well. It seems to simulate the feeling of leaning the bike
well. The Freestyle Pro gamepad might be kind of neat, though I don't
know if it gives you as fine control.

The freestyle pro works well but you look like bit silly cause you tend to lean
the way you tilt the thing. Well I do anyway.....
