X-car demo

X-car demo available at gamecenter.com (look in the download section).  Its
about a 9mb download.  This thing has promise.  I would put it somewhere
between ICR2 and NFS2 it terms of realism and seriousness.  There are two
tracks available:  Mid-Ohio and a figure eight.  The Mid-Ohio track is much
more accurate than the one developed by Papyrus.  Oddly enough, the
publisher of the program, Bethesda Software does not have the demo up on
their own page.

Granted this demo shows the potential, but it is reeeeally an old demo.  The game has been worked on for
another 8 months.  The driving is now rock steady.  Much respect for Geoff and Papyrus, cause getting the
"feel" down just right for a racing sim is one tricky science.  You HAVE to take time to do it right.  The
demo isn't on the Bethesda site cause there is a new one that is coming that represents the final product.
There's been some recent news announcements on some new features that have been highly requested, so there's
much to look forward to.  Many new announcements at E3, so I believe.

So is the demo on the June PC GAMER CD the old demo or the new one? I
wasn't very impressed with it. Felt very acrcadish.
