Setup is really critical in most of these Heat mods.  I haven't messed
with LM2 but with my DTM league racer, I had a PLOW until somebody gave me a
good baseline setup.
Make sure you get your controllers setup properly.  Pay attention to the
linear settings.  At first I was using the NON-linear settings because I
misunderstood which way to move the slider.   I have it completely zero'd
out.  No orange slider visible.(full left)  Try that and see if it improves.
Good luck.

Its not just you...

The Le Mans2 Mod for Heat is very difficult to drive and comes with no
setups. Looks great though...

It should have, at least for all currently released Road Courses. I
did setups for all cars, all road courses, they start "mx".

I didn't do any ovals although one or two of the other dev team
might have.

The cars are quite tough to drive as they have lots of power,
the easiest car to drive I think is the LOLA but the FERRARI
is perhaps the best handling and most Fun. The AUDI is a
bit off as a early version slipped out.

We are working on an update that is mainly to equalise
the cars performance, it also evens out the handling a
little.

Road Atlanta !!! - this track is an AI makers nightmare. :)
There are some variables that are stored in the track files
themselves and we think there might be an odd one in
there that messes up the AI.

Essentially we have to do a much slower lap (in places)
or the AI throw themselves off like lemmings. This often
means the AI is a bit slow but it's still fun to race with.
Becanour is another example of a tricky track to do AI
for, mostly owing to the proximity of the walls.

Glad your enjoying it anyway :)
