Dear Y'all,

My Specs:-

AMD K6 750
128MB Ram
Sparkle Geforce2 (64mb) AGP
Creative Labs 5.1 Live! Player

I have recently reinstalled Viper Racing and have been having severe
problems with the game changing video modes.  Every so often when it changes
from 2d to 3d or vice versa I end up with a black screen.  This is not
confined just to the 3d portion of the game, it happens after races too.

At first I thought it was the video card over-heating as I have had a
problem with that recently, but now I am not so sure.  I know the game
wasn't designed to work with this particular card, but I assumed (possibly
incorrectly) that because it was DirectX it would be OK.

Anybody else have a similar problem with any cards?  And more importantly,
does anyone have a solution?

Maybe try the latest patch?

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a whirl.  Unfortunately I have never had
any luck with viper patches as they don't seem to work on my european
version of the game.  Another problem is that I don't have Windows 2000 (my
god! - he's still in the dark ages!) and this patch applies to that.  I
shall report back if anyone cares.

Didn't make a blind bit of difference I am afraid.  (Spot the pun)  What it
did do however, was prevent the other cars from regenerating after a crash
making it very easy to romp to victory.
